A Snapshot of Me

My name is Chris Bank although most people at the University of Michigan know me as "Topher" - it was sort of a social experiment that got out of hand.

I graduated from UofM's Ross School of Business, and consider myself a serial entrepreneur although my entrepreneurial series has arguably just begun. Like many web innovators and evangelists, I at one point claimed I had developed the next Facebook-Google platform while I was a senior. Unlike the masses, I accepted the futility of such an endeavor and have directed my intense investigation of historic and contemporary web trends toward a diverse set of non-profit projects and commercial ventures.

Over the past few years, I have cultivated a strong passion for the following:

  • Localized/niche wikis such as RocWiki and ArborWiki;
  • Open educational utilities;
  • Relationship management technologies, particularly the overlap of CRM applications and social networking sites;
  • Communication aggregation technologies like Digsby;
  • Universally accessible resources;
  • Micropayment services such as PostmarkedEmail.

 I'm always looking for innovative, open-minded people and new ventures. Contact me if you're looking for someone to bounce ideas off of or a partner. I may be interested...
